[Jordan and Faith are swept along to the forest in the Labyrinth, the gloom of the thick trees surrounding them only broken by the strange reflections cast by the trees and other greenery surrounding them. Jordan's eyes are wide as he looks around, recognition and horror slowly creeping over his features as he takes in where they are. After a beat he seems to remember Faith, looking around for her quickly, immediately going to her side.] Hey, Faith are you okay?

[ she lets him pull her up after him with ease ] So how'd you turn out so well?

[wishuponadjinn]

[He snorts, brushing a few stray leaves from his pants.] My mother was a big influence on me. That and I've always had my... differences with Father. Being the youngest allowed me to see things differently than my siblings.

[moonheart]

How many siblings do you have?

[wishuponadjinn]

Just two. Vance and Nicole. Although, you'd never know we're related if you knew them. They're each almost as bad as Father, in their own ways.

[moonheart]

Wait, Vance who gave me tickets to the club Vance?

[wishuponadjinn]

[He nods, mouth twisting into a bitter smile.] One and the same. He knew where I had gone, and from there it would be easy enough to find out who I cared about. He probably invited you on Father's command, just for this purpose. No one can find the Silver Band unless invited, or Djinn.

[moonheart]

So what does your Dad want with you?

[wishuponadjinn]

Probably the same thing he's always wanted from me. To "take my place as a true Prince of the Djinn." [You can hear the air-quotes mixed with the sarcasm.] To claim my true power, blah blah blah.

That and he wants Fiona.

[moonheart]

I'm guessing not for the same reasons.

[wishuponadjinn]

Not exactly. He wants to convince her to accept him as her Father, to claim her right to the Kingdom as well. I think it's more a matter of control, really. He has control over the wishes that your parents all made, and the effects they had on all of you. I don't know how he could convince Fiona to accept his power, or what with, but he is very convincing when he wants to be.

[moonheart]

So he wants control over her too?

[wishuponadjinn]

It's hard to tell what he wants, but most likely yes.

[He puts his hand on the small of her back, turning her in the direction they need to go and starts heading through the gloomy woods. His hand drops once they start walking and he buries them in his pockets.]

[moonheart]

[ /follows along ] Why don't you ask him?

[wishuponadjinn]

I don't think my Father has given a straight answer to anyone in his entire existence. [The path they follow is curvy, so faded in places that she can't be sure they haven't lost it completely until suddenly they're on it again. As she looks around, she would notice that the trees, the plants, nearly everything has an odd shimmer to it, and if she looks close enough she would see that it looks like glitter everywhere.]

So even if I did just ask him, I doubt it would get me anywhere.

[moonheart]

[ /DISTRACTED BY THE SHINY ] So maybe we can trick him into telling us.

[wishuponadjinn]

[S-so shiny~ Touch it, you know you want to... o.O

He makes a face, not really convinced that would work.] I don't know, I mean my Father is pretty trick-proof, considering what he is and everything. But I guess maybe? Can't really rule anything out as impossible until it's been tried.

[moonheart]

[ she does, her will save was terrible. /reaches out... ] Maybe that's why he wouldn't expect it.

[wishuponadjinn]

[The tree is surprisingly smooth to the touch, and as she pulls her fingers away they're coated with glitter. Jordan watches her, curiosity canting his head to the side.]

You might have more luck getting it outta him then I would.

[moonheart]

Why's that? [ what if she just smears it down her cheeks like a football player ]

[wishuponadjinn]

[lol well then she looks like a glittery football player I guess haha.

He watches her smear glitter on herself like an Indian warrior, brows creeping high on his forehead.]

Well, Father and I don't really have the best relationship in the world. And he's always seemed to have a soft spot where you and your family are concerned, so if you asked you'd probably have a better chance getting the truth than I would.

[Just casually drops the fact that Jareth, and apparently himself, have been keeping tabs on her and her family...]

[moonheart]

Because of the wishes, you mean?

[wishuponadjinn]

[His eyes are glued to the path in front of them, tongue pocketing his cheek for a moment. After a beat he nods his head, still not meeting her eyes.] Yeah, 'cuz of the wishes.

[moonheart]

I guess our folks did go a little overboard.

[wishuponadjinn]

[He lets out a breathy laugh, nodding] Yeah, just a bit. I suppose it's not surprising though.

[moonheart]

It is a little bit. My parents usually have more self control than like, I do.
